International Institute of Goat Management, with the help of grant challenge, ‘women connect’ by Reliance Foundation and USAID, has designed a unique course for certified Livestock Business Counselor (LBC) to counsel potential livestock entrepreneurs to manage their micro business in livestock value chain. Besides being a counsellor to potential livestock entrepreneurs, the LBCs would also learn to facilitate sales purchase on verified production data, facilitate livestock loan and insurance, facilitate supply of livestock feed, medicine, tools and equipment, support televet services and facilitate linkages with banks and other government programmes. With a potential income of Rs 20k to 25k, there seems to be tremendous opportunities to grow and build a career within the organisation.
