Developing human resources at grassroots is critical to sustain positive changes and promote sustainable systems for livelihoods. Rural youth can play an important role in making changes sustainable, however they themselves are less equipped and in the state of despair.
Students of local rural colleges by n large have lost hope for employment and as jobs are concentrated to urban dwellings and require more focus on soft skills. Rural students find themselves at loss.
At The Goat Trust we belief that they have high potential to make changes in local area economy and lead social changes, provided they are equipped with skills and knowledge.
The Goat Trust HR wing is launching a program to camp in such rural colleges, select and recruit “Social Change Fellows” and groom them with social enterprise for a year. Fellowships will support them to establish small social enterprise in their own area promoted by The Goat Trust like Bakari bank, Community Livestock Business center and will be mentored to sustain and up scale it on social business principles.
